SEO for estate agents

Be easy to find when a local homeowner starts looking for an agent, not just a property.

Local SEO from £250/month. 12-month minimum term.

Property portals are where buyers browse. Homeowners deciding who should sell or let their property often start somewhere else: a Google search for agents nearby, a look at the map results and a read of the reviews. An agency whose branches have mismatched details, thin area pages and a trickle of reviews can lose that first call.

Local SEO helps each of your branches show up clearly in those searches, with the right details and pages that explain how you work. SearchSure offers Local SEO for UK businesses, including estate agencies, from £250/month with a 12-month minimum term. Not sure where you stand? Portals and Google do different jobs

Property portals list properties. Your own Google Business Profile and website are where vendors and landlords judge the agency itself. SearchSure works on the profile, listings and your own site. We do not manage portal listings or portal accounts.

One profile per branch, each one tidy

  • Each branch that customers can visit should have its own verified Google Business Profile with its own address, phone number and hours, and its own page on the website that the profile links to.
  • Multi-branch firms often end up with old profiles from closed or merged branches, or one branch's number on another's listing. Check name, address and phone details branch by branch.
  • Do not create profiles for addresses where no one meets customers, such as a virtual office. That breaks Google's rules.
  • Individual agents sometimes have their own profiles. These can compete with the branch listing; keep them only where they are accurate and useful.

Area pages without thin town farms

A page per area a branch genuinely covers can help, if each says something real: which branch serves it, who to speak to, and what the agency itself can say about local stock or demand from its own knowledge. Dozens of near-identical "estate agents in [town]" pages can hurt the whole site.

Valuation and landlord pages

Separate pages for selling, letting and requesting a valuation give Google and vendors something clear to match. A short valuation request form that works on a phone matters more than a long brochure page. We describe these as page topics only; we do not explain fees or property law.

Reviews without invented sales figures

  • Ask vendors, landlords, buyers and tenants for reviews at natural points, consistently and without incentives.
  • Reply in general terms. Do not mention a sale price, a property address or anyone's circumstances.

FAQs

Common questions about Local SEO for estate agents

We already pay for portals. Why would we need SEO?

Portals help you reach buyers and tenants. Homeowners choosing an agent often search for agents directly, and Local SEO helps your branches appear clearly there.

Should every branch have its own Google profile?

Yes, if customers can visit it and it has its own staff and phone number. Each one needs its own website page.

Are lots of town pages a good idea?

Only where a branch genuinely covers that area and the page says something useful. Near-identical pages can do more harm than good.

How long does it take?

Listing fixes happen early; rankings and enquiries build over months. Local SEO has a 12-month minimum term, shown on our pricing page.

What does Local SEO cost?
